Legoland Discovery Center To Reopen At Plymouth Meeting Mall

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — As the strictest coronavirus mitigation measures are lifted, one of the area's most popular family attractions is reopening its doors.

The Legoland Discovery Center in the Plymouth Meeting Mall will reopen on Thursday, Jan. 7, at 11 a.m. Owners are confident they can reopen safely.

“The health of our guests and employees is of utmost importance," Michael Taylor, the general manager of Legoland, said in a statement. "We are taking proactive steps to provide visitors with a safe, comfortable environment...After weeks spent social distancing, we hope to provide our fans with a day of togetherness, learning, creating and carefree play."

The facility will have limited capacities, social distancing measures in place, and bricks set aside just for families during designated playtimes. There will also be strict cleaning protocols put in place before each playtime, they said.

Legoland, like many other area attractions, has been forced to close its doors multiple times during the pandemic. The latest shut down came on Dec. 12, though the retail store was able to stay open.
