Lit Crosswalk To Be Built Across Germantown Pike

WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, PA —A pedestrian friendly improvement to Germantown Pike is underway in Whitemarsh.

The new walkway will be located immediately in front of Colonial High School at the Mayflower Road intersection.

A contractor has already started work on the project, removing the lines marking the old crosswalk, the township said.

Workers are now awaiting the arrival of mast arms needed to install the new lighting system.

The project is expected to be completed in November.
