Firefighters were able to contain much of the damage during a strong blaze in Fort Washington early Friday.

FORT WASHINGTON, PA — A powerful two-alarm blaze was extinguished at a winery in Montgomery County early Friday. No injuries have been reported.
The incident occurred before dawn Friday morning at the Karamoor Estate Vineyard and Winery, located on 40 E. Skippack Pike in Fort Washington.
Photos from the scene showed flames shooting through the roof of what the winery later said was an old barn, where a new tasting room was under construction.

The damage was contained to the old barn, and the rest of the property was unharmed.
"Thank you for all of your kind and encouraging words," the winery said in a statement Friday. "We are so fortunate no one was injured and it appears the damage stayed within the walls of the new tasting room walls and close perimeter."
