Montco's Adorable Pet Of The Week: 'Mad Eye Moody'

He may only have one eye (and a healthy skepticism towards canines) but this special feline is loaded with personality and love.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — The history of Mad Eye Moody is shrouded in mystery. His origins are remote and there is nothing of it to be read in his one emerald green eye, which warily though not unkindly surveys his lodgings at the Montgomery County SPCA.

Having spent unknown days or years wandering the back alleys and dusty yards of the Montgomery County area, fate delivered Mad Eye to the doorstep of the SPCA's Conshohocken facility on Valentine's Day. He's bided his days here since awaiting the next stage of his voyages.

His servants at the SPCA carefully note his habits and predilections.

"While he's been here, staff have noticed that he isn't very good with dogs, and might not be the biggest fan of cats either," they say.

However, they note this is not his dominant trait. Nothing can "stop him from being a normal, loving, and affectionate cat," they add.

At four years old, Mad Eye has seen plenty of the world. His left eye was enlarged when he arrived, and he underwent surgery to remove it. He's neutered, and craves attention. A family seeking to have only pet would be ideal for Mad Eye.
