PA Turnpike Reopens Near Plymouth After Major Crash Injures 2
Medical helicopters landed on the roadway of the turnpike in Montco Thursday morning after an accident shut down lanes in both directions.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA -- Two medical helicopters landed on the roadway of the Pennsylvania Turnpike Thursday morning after an accident shut down lanes in both directions.
The incident occurred on I-276 after 7 a.m. at mile marker 334.2 in Plymouth Meeting, between the Norristown (Exit 333) and Fort Washington (Exit 339) interchanges, according to authorities.
According to 6ABC, a truck carrying hay collided with another vehicle. One person was trapped beneath an overturned vehicle and had to be rescued, the report states.

At least one other victim was treated at the scene.
Lanes reopened before 8 a.m. Heavy traffic hit the area in both directions, causing significant delays, the turnpike said.

The two medical helicopters have landed and the patients are being loaded at this time. All traffic remains stopped in both directions.
