Plymouth Meeting Mall Still Mostly Closed As Yellow Phase Begins
Boscov's at Plymouth Meeting Mall has reopened, and the mall has launched a "Mall2Go" contact free pickup program.

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — Plymouth Meeting Mall remains mostly closed as Montgomery County moves into the yellow phase of the state's reopening plan, with a few small changes indicating that some things are at least starting to get back to normal.
Preit, the owner of Plymouth Meeting, has not yet announced a formal "reopening" date for the entire mall, or for their other local property, Willow Grove Park. And even once they do reopen, shopping is likely to look quite different for some time, with crowd limits, social distancing measures, and other coronavirus containment strategies put into place, as evidenced by other malls that have reopened nationwide.
Several Preit malls nationwide did open in May and early June. Floor decals are in place to ensure social distancing, hand sanitizing stations are located through the malls, play areas are closed, restroom use is limited, food court seating has been either eliminated or greatly reduced, air quality is being monitored more closely, and all mall personnel receive temperature screenings daily.

In the meantime, Plymouth Meeting is operating under some altered procedures.
On Monday, the mall announced they had launched "Mall2Go," a new contact-free order option for stores within the mall. Right now Dick's Sporting Goods, Legoland Discovery Center, and Michaels are all participating in the program.
You can order directly from each businesses' website, and then pick up orders curbside, as you would with a to-go meal.
Boscov's, which has a separate and public facing entrance, has reopened. Hours have been reduced to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Mondays, from 11 a.m. to noon, are dedicated shopping hours for customers vulnerable to coronavirus.
Things are a bit different from the pre-pandemic shopping experience at Boscov's. Dressing rooms are closed, plexiglass screens have been installed at each register, and individual registers have been separated to enhance social distancing. The company also says they've established an "intensified" cleaning program on high touch areas.
Restaurants at the mall are also open for takeout and delivery, including Chick-fil-A, Redstone American Grill, Bertucci's, Miller's Ale House, Main Street Pizza, and California Pizza Kitchen. Restaurants like PF Chang's and Benihana are open for pickup only.
Whole Foods at the mall, of course, remains open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. reserved for shoppers 60 and over.
The AMC 12 at the mall remains closed.
