Plymouth Meeting Native Named CAA Field Hockey Rookie Of The Week

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A Plymouth-Meeting native and Hofstra University field hockey athlete has been named the rookie of the week for the Colonial Athletic Association.

Frankie O'Brien, a freshman defender on the squad, earned the acknowledgement for the week ending Oct. 15, the school said.

O'Brien tied the school record with three assists in the team's win over Saint Francis University at home on Sunday.

She tied several of her teammates as the team's single-game assist record holder with that performance.

For the season, she has four goals and seven assists while starting all 16 games for Hofstra. She also two defensive saves on the season.
