Plymouth Township Recognizes Softball Teams

The 12U Wildcats and 10U Blue Diamonds received commendations for a stellar season.

The Plymouth Township Council recognized two local youth softball teams for batting in a homerun of a season.

The girls' teams received applause, congratulatory remarks from the Plymouth Township Council and proclamations acknowledging their great records.

The 12U/Majors – The Wildcats finished with an 11-1 season record and went undefeated in the post-season to win the divisional championship. Following that victory, the team defeated a team from Upper Moreland that won its division playoff. Mike Perez served as head coach. Phil Kosvitch, Lori Logan and Bill Price were assistant coaches. The team was comprised of players Bridget Carbone, Savannah Cassidy, Ella Gibbons, Kasey Johnstone, Natalie Kern, Caelin Kosvitch, Riley Logan, Emily Lupo, Haley O’Hara, Marissa Perez, Julie Price, Charley Tassoni and Olivia Teeters.

The 10U/Minors – The Blue Diamonds finished with a 10-1-1 regular season record and went undefeated in the post-season to win the divisional championship. From there, the team defeated a team from Horsham that won its divisional playoff. The team was led by head coach Nancy Perez and assistant coaches Mike Antenucci, Dennis Dobrowolski and Dave McEvoy. The team was comprised of players Addison Antenucci, Olivia DeGideo, Ava McEvoy, Maddie McLaughlin, Camille O’Brien, Joslyn Perez, Anna Grace Powel, Libby Racich, Olivia Scheer, Riley Wheeler, Mariah Williams and Sophia Wittig.
