Norristown Police Officer Injured at Plymouth Shooting Range [UPDATE]

An officer was medevaced after being shot in the leg at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus in Plymouth Township

Norristown Police Sergeant Robert Langdon was medevaced from the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Campus in Plymouth Township Thursday morning afte he accidentally shot himself in the leg, according to officials.

Reports from county radio indicate that an officer was shot "through the leg" shortly before 11 a.m., and  emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene. Plymouth and Harmonville Fire Companies were seen leaving the facility after the helicopter, and Plymouth Police also on scene.

A report from 6ABC states the Langdon, who was treated and discharged by 2:30 p.m., is a 20-year veteran and a supervisor with the Norristown Police Department.
