Seven Montgomery County Animals Test Positive For Rabies, Vaccination Clinic Set
One of the positive tests was on a bat in Abington.

In response to the public health concern over the spread of rabies, the Montgomery County has scheduled a low-cost vaccination clinic for Saturday, September 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Jefferson Firehouse Recreation Center in West Norriton.
The vaccination cost is $10 per shot and is open to cats, dogs and ferrets, officials said.
All animals must be leashed or in an approved carrier as they arrive at the clinic, according to officials.

All cats and dogs older than three months must have a rabies vaccination, per Pennsylvania State Law and the Montgomery County Public Health Code.
Seven animals have tested positive for rabies in Montgomery County this year, including six raccoons and one bat. The positive tests have come from East Norriton, Marloborough, Chelentham and Jenkintown
