Tax Break Approved for Conshohocken-Based Business
Heritage Coach Co. will get a 10-year deal on its taxes in Pottstown.

For the next 10 years, a Conshohocken-based business proposed along Keystone Boulevard in Pottstown will not have to pay much in taxes. The Pottstown School Board, with some support from local representatives, approved the deal at Monday's meeting.
According to reports in the Pottstown Mercury, the board voted 7-2 to allow Heritage Coach Co., based in Conshohocken, to have a 10-year deal, just one day after local Rep. Mark Painter (D-146) voiced his support for the idea.
"Under the terms of the deal negotiated by Schools Superintendent Jeff Sparagana and Borough Manager Mark Flanders, Heritage would pay no property taxes in the first three years of the 10-year deal," explained the Mercury. "In year four, Heritage would pay 25 percent of its tax bill and an additional 10 percent each subsequent year."
