Security around the home is always something to consider. There are two things you can do to protect your home and your valuables.

For starters, the Police Department reminds everyone to lock all the doors of your home, especially when you leave for a period of time. It’s a simple but important step.

Vacation season is nearing. Before leaving for a trip, you can complete a Vacation Notice Form. The form will let the Police Department know that your home will be unoccupied.  

Second, do not leave valuables such as laptops, phones and wallets sitting in clear view in your car. Also, always lock your car when it is parked in your driveway or on the street.
