1st Coronavirus Death Reported In Radnor Township

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — New data regarding the coronavirus released Thursday shows the virus has taken the life of a Radnor Township resident.

Data provided Thursday by Chester County, which is serving Delaware County's public health needs amid the coronavirus, reports the first death of a Radnor Township resident.

Demographic information on the victim was not available.

Radnor has 50 cases of the virus as of Thursday.

The first cases in Radnor were reported on March 22.

Radnor Township reopened its parks and trails Tuesday after closing them to the public. However, playground equipment, courts, and pavilion facilities are still closed until further notice.

Overall, Delaware County has nearly 3,000 cases, with 2,963 total.

Of those 2,963 cases, 1,034 have not had locations identified.

Upper Darby has the most cases still with 302.

Additionally, there are 124 deaths reported county wide.

Marple Township now has the highest death toll, with 20 victims of the virus in the township.
