WAYNE, PA — One of several trees that blew down as Tropical Storm Elsa moved toward Pennsylvania landed on a home in Wayne, as intense winds pulled down power lines.

6ABC reported severe storms that struck parts of Pennsylvania Thursday ahead of Elsa's arrival blew down electric and cable lines and even dropped a tree onto a house on Chamounix Road in Wayne.

The National Weather Service said the damage was from a microburst, according to the 6ABC report. They happen during thunderstorms and can produce damaging winds like a tornado, but it does not have the spin or rotation that a tornado does.
