After Teacher Shift on Recommendations, Radnor Students Will Change Their Shirts

White-shirt protest will shift to black, after teachers agreed to resume recommendations

After teachers from the Radnor Township Education Association announced, as part of a contract dispute with the district, a moratorium on writing of college recommendations, a group of Radnor High School seniors staged a weeklong protest, which included wearing all white for an entire week. After the teachers agreed Wednesday to resume the recommendations, the students are changing their tune as well.

In support of the teachers, the students plan to wear black on Friday and possibly Thursday as well, a student organizer told Patch.

The white-wearing protest had actually begun in reaction to teachers wearing black at an informational picket, as well as in school, to draw attention to their lack of a contract.
