Bridge Replacement Will Close Radnor Twp. Road For 5 Months

A section of Darby-Paoli Road will close and Willows Park traffic will be altered as PennDOT replaces a Radnor Twp. bridge starting Aug. 3.

KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — A bridge replacement project will close a section of road in Radnor Township for months, and will require a single entrance-exit at the Willows Park in Villanova. PennDOT will close Darby-Paoli Road between Newtown Road and Church Road/Brooke Road starting on Monday, August 3. The section of road will remain closed through December 2020 as workers replace and widen the bridge.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation asks motorists to follow traffic detour signage in the area when the closure takes effect.

This project will also impact the Willows Park entrance, at 490 Darby-Paoli Road, in Villanova. The park entrance will also be close Monday, August 3, and will remain closed through December, for duration of the road closure. During those months, the park exit will serve as both the entrance and exit for all park traffic. PennDOT said signage will be posted through the park to direct traffic.
