Cabrini U Plans Primarily In-Person Instruction for Fall 2021
Cabrini University said it plans to return to primarily in-person instruction for the fall 2021 semester.
RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Cabrini University has announced it plans to return to primarily in-person course instruction for the fall 2021 semester.
The university said it expects to resume its operations on a more traditional on-campus schedule, with increased face-to-face engagement and more robust on-campus offerings, in accordance with any and all COVID-19 mitigation measures that may be identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health authorities.
"As the vaccination rollout gains momentum in Pennsylvania and across the country, and the expectation of a decrease in COVID-19 cases comes to fruition, we see glimmers of hope that a return to some level of normalcy is on the horizon," said President Donald B. Taylor, Ph.D.

"With this promise of more widespread immunity and our community’s success with adherence to mitigation measures to date, we are prepared to provide a safe and engaging experience on campus for the larger Cabrini community," Taylor added.
Since March 2020 and the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic here, Cabrini has operated in multiple instructional modes, including fully virtual, hybrid (virtual and in-person), hyflex, and face-to-face. Residence halls on campus reopened in August of last year. Cabrini said students have been successful in their coursework in the most recent fall and spring semesters, functioning in whichever format best fits their needs.

Cabrini said it is currently researching how to best facilitate COVID-19 vaccinations within and throughout its campus community.
"Our students, faculty, and staff have worked diligently to utilize available technology and creatively maintain our sense of community throughout the past year," said Chioma Ugochukwu, Ph.D., Provost and Vice President, Academic Affairs. "We are eager to safely welcome even more members of our Cabrini community back to campus."
More information on how Cabrini will continue its required mitigation efforts during the fall semester will be forthcoming, the university said this week. The university’s technological capabilities and remote learning infrastructure remain in place should a pivot to primarily or all virtual instruction be required.
Cabrini enrolls approximately 1,550 undergraduates in more than 40 majors, pre-professional programs, concentrations, and minors on its 112-acre campus in Radnor. The University also enrolls 525 students in graduate, doctoral, and professional studies programs at its main campus and at five off-campus locations.
