RADNOR, PA — Cabrini University recently announced changes to its Board of Trustees' membership, including the departure of two long-term members whose terms have expired.

Lambert, a strategic planning consultant in the healthcare industry who formerly served Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Senior Vice President, joined the Cabrini Board in 2015, most recently fulfilling Vice Chair duties.

The Board's new Vice-Chair will be William “Bill” Stemper, President of Comcast Business since 2006. Andrea Kelliher, who joined the Board in 2017, has been elected Secretary.

The changes were effective July 1.

"As we enter a crucial stage in Cabrini’s strategic planning, I am thrilled to be working with this Board of Trustees, which includes several new voices among veteran members in new roles," said Cabrini President Donald B. Taylor, Ph.D.

In addition to Emmerich, two longtime Board members' terms have expired: Bill DeSante served on the Board for nine years, including work as part of Audit, Risk, Legal, and Compliance (ARLC) and Fiscal Integrity committees; and Robert “Bob” Jara, a nine-year member of the Board, chaired the Fiscal Integrity Committee and was a member of Executive Committee. Claire Roth, who chaired the ARLC and joined the Fiscal; Executive; and Educational Quality committees during her seven-year tenure, has resigned from the Board.

"Our outgoing Board members have served the Cabrini community with integrity and forward-thinking," Taylor said. "On behalf of our community, I offer my sincere gratitude for their service."

Outgoing Board Chair Emmerich, a commercial trial lawyer at Eckert Seamans in Philadelphia, delivered the keynote address during Cabrini's 2021 Commencement Exercises on May 22 and received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters for his service to the University.
