Delco Has Nearly 400 Coronavirus Deaths, Almost 5,000 Cases

See coronavirus case counts and death totals for all Delaware County municipalities and nursing homes as of Saturday.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — There are nearly 5,000 coronavirus cases in Delaware County, as of Saturday. Additionally, deaths have nearly reached 400.

According to data provided Saturday, Delaware County has 4,894 cases of the coronavirus.

Upper Darby has the most cases with 793.

Yeadon Borough has the highest percentage of its population with the virus of any Delaware County municipality. The borough has 325 cases and 11,471 residents, giving it a 2.83 percent infected population.

The locations of 223 cases in Delco have not been identified, as of Saturday.

To date, the county has received 11,552 negative coronavirus test results.

  • 10 to 19 — 90
  • 20 to 29 — 556
  • 30 to 39 — 671
  • 40 to 49 — 685
  • 50 to 59 — 866
  • 60 to 69 — 739
  • 70 to 79 — 467
  • 80 and older — 772

Women account for 56.41 percent of Delco cases, while men account for 42.55 percent of cases; 1.04 percent of cases have not had gender identified.

Long term care facilities and personal care homes account for 26 percent of all Delaware County cases, with 1,285 cases in those facilities. Of the counties 62 facilities, 41 have had an outbreak.

  • 60 to 69 — 189 cases
  • 70 to 79 — 262 cases
  • 80 to 89 — 365 cases
  • 90 to 99 — 261 cases

Of long term care facility and personal care home cases, 767 are women and 518 are men.

As for deaths, the county now has 394 deaths.

Middletown Township has the most deaths with 73.

Long term care facilities and personal care homes have seen 305 deaths, which represents 77 percent of all coronavirus deaths in the county.
