Emlen Tunnell Statue Dedication Set For June 2 In Radnor

Celebrate the Radnor native, military veteran, and professional football player at the statue dedication ceremony on June 2 in Radnor.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Emlen Tunnell, one of Radnor and the Main Line's most storied sons, is being officially honored as a statue of his likeness is being dedicated June 2.

Tunnell – a Radnor High School graduate, WWII Coast Guard veteran and Silver Lifesaving Medal recipient, and professional football player – will be memorialized by locals at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2 at the Radnor Township Building.

Parking will be available at 555 Lancaster Ave. with a bus shuttling attendees to the township building for the ceremony. Handicap parking will be available at the township building.

The Sports Legends of Delaware County group crowd funded the statue, which was sculpted by local artist Jennifer Frudakis.
