MEDIA, PA – Hay rides, pumpkins and apple cider will be featured when Delaware County Council hosts its third annual Fall Festival Oct. 22 from noon to 3 p.m. at Rose Tree Park in Upper Providence.
"We are pleased that we can offer so many free recreational events for our residents,” said Councilman Michael Culp. “Thousands of people already visit Rose Tree Park for free concerts, the holiday light show, or just to get outside and take a walk. We hope the Fall Festival is another way to create a family tradition."
Delaware County Parks Director Marc Manfre said the autumn celebration is all about free family fun, featuring a hayride around the park, scarecrows and other decorations, refreshments provided by ACME and several children’s activities.

“Rose Tree Park is exceptionally colorful in the fall when the leaves are changing, and we’re happy to offer a special afternoon of family entertainment,” said White, “We’re going to have pumpkin painting, a fire engine for kids to explore.”
The festival’s activity tables will be centered in the grassy expanse in the middle of Rose Tree Park.
The hayrides will take visitors around the horseshoe loop toward the back of the park, providing an optimal view of the rolling hills, fall foliage and handmade scarecrows marking the trail.
Fall decorations and painted wooden cut-outs will also be arranged for special photo opportunities in the activity area near the pumpkin patch and refreshment tables.
ACME will be onsite offering food and beverage samples, and the Rose Tree Fire Company plans to bring a fire truck.
