Garrett Ave. Is Closed While SEPTA Removes A Bridge
Parking will be restricted near Garrett and Lancaster avenues as SEPTA removes a bridge near Garrett Hill Station on Norristown Line.
RADNOR TOWNSIHP, PA — SEPTA said it must close Garrett Avenue Thursday through Sunday in order to remove a bridge; most of the bridge removal is happening Saturday.
A crane is required to remove the bridge, so during the times when the crane is moved in and out, Garrett Avenue will need to be closed entirely, SEPTA explained in a news release. Closures are anticipated for Friday morning and Sunday afternoon and should take about 2 hours each time. They will be managed by the Radnor Police Department.
Starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, Garrett Avenue will close and will remain closed until 6 p.m. Sunday night, SEPTA announced. On Saturday during daylight hours only, SEPTA will remove a structurally deficient bridge near Garrett Hill Station on the Norristown High Speed Line.
