'Major' Roach Infestation Closes Radnor Restaurant: Report

A roach in a plate of Thai noodles sparked a series of events that eventually saw Radnor's Yangming Restaurant shut down.

A roach in a plate of Thai noodles sparked a series of events that eventually saw Radnor’s Yangming Restaurant shut down over what officials have called a “major infestation,” according to Main Line Media News.

It reportedly started when a girl having lunch with her parents on Friday found a roach in her Thai noodles and complained. When the waiter brought her another plate of noodles, it turned out that dish, too, contained a cockroach.

Clearly distressed, the parents rejected the restaurant manager’s offer of a gift certificate in addition paying for their lunch, and instead called the police. When officers arrived, they, too, reportedly saw the offending insects.

Eventually, the Radnor Community Development Department responded to the restaurant, shutting it down over the “major infestation” found in the kitchen, the report said.

Officials stated that the restaurant had been closed for about four hours while the premises were decontaminated.
