PennDOT Work To Affect 3 Delco Highways Through Late June

Overnight work will affect traffic on I-95, I-476, Route 1 in Delaware County through late June with work beginning Sunday night.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Overnight lane and shoulder closures are scheduled on several state highways in Delaware County beginning Sunday for guide rail repairs, PennDOT said.

Weather permitting, these operations are scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays through Mondays, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, through Sunday, June 28.

  • Northbound and southbound I-95 between the Delaware State Line and Bartram Avenue Interchange in Chester, Chichester, Lower Chichester, Ridley and Upper Tinicum townships, Upland and Ridley Park boroughs and City of Chester, Delaware County;
  • Northbound and southbound I-476 between I-95 and Montgomery County Line in Ridley, Nether Providence, Marple, Haverford and Radnor townships, Delaware County;
  • Northbound and southbound U.S. 1 (Township Line Road/Media Bypass) between the Chester County Line and the Montgomery County Line in Upper Darby, Haverford, Springfield, Marple, Upper Providence, Middletown, Birmingham and Concord townships and Chester Heights Borough, Delaware County;

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns will occur.
