RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Spring is coming and Radnor Township's Recreation and Community Programing is planning a treasure hunt to bring together residents and businesses in Radnor.

Working with the Wayne Business Association and Radnor businesses township-wide, the Radnor Township Recreation and Community Programming Department has planned the free event for the whole month of April. The 2021 Radnor Business Treasure Hunt is free and family-friendly, the township said in a news release. The community scavenger hunt invites participation from local businesses and organizations and will end with a raffle for successful "treasure hunters."

Families will have the opportunity to visit participating business locations during normal business hours, in search of a piece of hidden treasure to mark down on their treasure map, and complete in order to enter a raffle.

Here's how it will work: Businesses who would like to sign up as a treasure location will receive a poster to hang somewhere within their establishment for treasure hunters to find.

Before families begin the program, they will receive a special treasure map that outlines all of the participating establishments that they will need to visit on their hunt. Once families reach a business, they will need to search for the hidden poster which will display a piece of treasure specific to that location.

Once the treasure has been found at all participating businesses, the treasure hunters will be able to turn in their map to enter a free raffle drawing.

Businesses or organizations participating in the Radnor Business Treasure Hunt will have the opportunity to promote themselves through multiple advertising channels that will elevate their presence for wider marketing. Benefits include recognition in event promotional materials including event flyers, recognition on the Township website with a link to your website; and distribution in other published materials both in print and online.

Businesses or organizations interested in participating in this free unique event can contact the community programming department at 610-688-5600 x 141, or email: tcohen@radnor.org or 610-688-5600 x 136, tkrum@radnor.org.
