Radnor Coronavirus Cases Surpass 100

New data provided Wednesday shows Radnor Township now has more than 100 cases of the coronavirus.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Coronavirus cases in Radnor Township have now surpassed 100, according to new figures provided Wednesday.

Data from Chester County, which is serving Delaware County's public health needs amid the coronavirus pandemic, shows the township has more than 100 cases and nearly 10 deaths.

As of Wednesday, there are 101 cases in Radnor.

While 101 cases may sound like many to some, the data provide details on just how much of an impact that is on Radnor Township.

The 101 people with coronavirus in Radnor account for just 0.32 percent of its total population, which is 31,710.

Additionally, eight Radnor residents have died from the virus to date. That figure accounts for 0.02 percent of the township's population.

Overall, Delaware County has 4,430 cases and 326 deaths as of Wednesday.

Upper Darby has the highest case count with 736, but Yeadon Borough has the county's highest percent of its population suffering from the virus with 2.35 percent of residents testing positive for the virus.

And in nearby Marple Township, 52 people have died. Marple and Middletown townships have the highest death counts in the county with 52 each.
