Radnor Memorial Day Parade: What You Need To Know

The parade will step off at 9:45 a.m. from the Radnor Financial Center on Lancaster Ave. and head west to the War Memorial for a ceremony.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – As is tradition, Radnor Township is hosting its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 28, Memorial Day itself.

The parade will begin at 9:45 a.m. starting at the Radnor Financial Center.

Parade marchers will head west on Lancaster Avenue ending at the War Memorial, located at the Runnymede and South Wayne avenues.

Following the parade will be at ceremony at the memorial.

Lancaster Avenue will be blocked to traffic from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

All military veterans are invited to march in the parade. Other marchers include Radnor High School Marching band, fire truck, classic cars, Valley Forge Cadets, Radnor Wayne Little Leaguers, and more.

The parade will be held rain or shine.

Former Radnor Township Ward 1 Commissioner James Higgins will serve as the parade's Grand Marshal.

With Monday, May 28 being Memorial Day, township services will be affected.

The Radnor Township Municipal Building and Public Works Garage will be closed Monday, May 28 in observance of the holiday.

The trash and recycling collection schedule will be shifted as well.

  • Trash - District 1 will be collected on Tuesday, May 29
  • Trash - District 2 will be collected on Wednesday, May 30
  • Recyclables – District 1 will be collected on Thursday, May 31
  • Recyclables – District 2 will be collected on Friday, June 1

All materials must be out for collection by 7 a.m.
