Radnor Offering Digital, In-Person Camp Programs This Summer

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Radnor Township is offering two forms of camp this summer in an effort to provide safe experiences for residents and no residents.
This summer, Radnor is hosting the Live, Interactive, Virtual Radnor Day Camp (VRDC) and an In-Person, Park-Based Radnor Day Camp (PRDC).
Campers can participate in one or both of the camps.

Park-Based, In-Person Radnor Day Camp will take place for six weeks — Monday through Thursday from June 29 to Aug. 6 — at Clem Macrone and Warren Filipone/Bo Connor parks.
Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and campers will be assigned specific, staggered arrival and dismissal time frames.

The camp costs $929 for Radnor residents $925 and $955 for non-residents. Any PRDC camper can add on the four-week virtual session for a special fee of $125.
PRDC will operate in accordance with the guidelines that have been put forth by the federal and state agencies including the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and Gov. Tom Wolf regarding the coronavirus.
Required documents including the 2020 Park-Based Radnor Day Camp Operating Health and Safety Procedures are very specific to how the township will operate in accordance with the guidelines that have been put forth by the CDC. The documents must be signed and accepted before campers can participate.

As for the virtual camp, it will be held on the Zoom meeting platform from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays from June 29 to July 23.
Registration costs $175 for Radnor residents and $205 for non-residents.
The interactive Virtual Radnor Day Camp will be led by Kirby Brown, the RDC Director of five years and RDC employee of 16 years
Virtual camp sessions will be designed to include games and activities that are physically, socially, and emotionally stimulating.

At this time registration is available for both Radnor residents and non-Radnor residents, however any non-resident campers may be placed on a wait list initially until group sizes are determined.
