Radnor Offering Shade Trees To Homeowners
You can get a shade tree valued at about $600 for just $35 through this program, but only while supplies last.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Radnor Township wants to help you help Radnor stay green, as it is offering a limited number of street trees to residents who act quickly.
The Chanticleer Foundation, Radnor Township and the Radnor Conservancy area partnering to offer Radnor homeowners a shade tree planted along the street in front of their property.
Homeowners who register for a street are asked to pay $35 for the trees, which have an estimated value of $600, the township said. Not a bad deal for homeowners.

If you are one of the lucky residents to get a tree, you must be responsible for its watering for at least the first year after the tree has been planted, even this fall after planting, the township said.
Trees will be located along the street in an area where overhead wires and other obstructions are not an issue.

Site and species selection will be made with the help of an arborist as part of the program. A contracted nursery or landscaping company will plant the balled tree by the beginning of November 2017, the township said.
The trees will be 6- to 10- feet tall and limited to one per household, according to the township.
