“Ever since I played Ariel at Radnor Elementary School, I've wanted to bring her to life again in a whole new way, so I'm really excited to have that opportunity,” said junior Amia Korman who previously played the lead role in RES's 2013 production of "The Little Mermaid, Jr."

The lead roles are double-cast, with one group of actors performing on Thursday and Saturday night, and the other on Friday night and Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Korman shares the role of Ariel with senior Sharon Hsu. Prince Eric is played by juniors Gabriel Escobar and Aiden Giacomucci; Sebastian by junior Aidan Moore and sophomore Peter Vitali; King Triton by seniors Joshua Jones and Patrick Kaper-Barcelata; Ursula by senior Shannon Boylan and junior Meredith Forman; Flounder by senior Ryan Oliver and junior Mehek Thapar; and Scuttle by sophomore Ben Adams and junior Barbara Civitella.

"I am so excited to perform as Ursula in my last show," Boylan said. "The complexity of her character allows me to enter a fictional world that has taught me so much not only about her as a character but also about myself.”

"The Little Mermaid" features more than 20 musical numbers, including favorites "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea" and "Kiss the Girl." A full orchestra, composed mostly of RHS students, will accompany the show.

“I love acting, but more than anything, I’m most excited to be a part of the musical community where I have made great memories and even greater friends,” Jones said.

"The Little Mermaid" is directed by Ryan Goulden with musical direction by choral music teacher Bruce Glenny and technical direction by theatre and communications teacher Brian Dietzler.

“I can’t wait to perform in this production," Civitella said. "I hope the audience can have as much fun watching it as we have performing it!”
