Radnor Township Claims Coveted Parks And Recreation Award
A 'Spooktacular' event in the midst of a pandemic helped Radnor Township earn an award for parks and recreation programming.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Some 75 families came out for The Willows Spooktacular Park and Trail Scavenger Hunt on Oct. 25, and even amid COVID-19 mitigations everyone had a needed bit of fun and the township took an award for its programming.
The Radnor Township Recreation and Community Programming Department has received the coveted 2021 PRPS Excellence in Programming Award for its efforts of “programming in the pandemic” with the Spooktacular Park and Trail Scavenger Hunt.
The 75 families present meant almost 300 participated in the Sunday afternoon event, so to keep everyone safe and socially distanced, groups were limited by families and pre-registered in half-hour increments for each activity.
