RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA – Radnor Township residents can get shade trees to keep their properties green and shady, thanks to the Chanticleer Foundation, Radnor Township, and the Radnor Conservancy.
Trees will be approximately 6 to 10 feet tall with an estimated value of $600. Families/households are limited to one tree, each, and are asked to contribute $35 toward the cost of the tree.
Those looking to get a tree – which are in limited quantities – should take note of some requisites for getting a tree.

Tree location should be along the street, away from overhead wires or any other obstruction, and in a spot that is easily accessible for the planting contractors.
Homeowners are responsible for watering their new tree for at least the first year after the tree has been planted, even this fall after planting.

Tree sites and tree species will be chosen with the help of an arborist as part of the program.
A contracted nursery or landscaping company will plant the balled tree by the beginning of November.
