South Wayne PorchFest Presents 50+ Bands Playing On 24 Porches

A Saturday of Free Music on September 15th from Noon to 5 p.m. Open to the Public.

On Saturday, September 15th, from Noon to 5 p.m., the Second Annual South Wayne PorchFest will present talented musicians playing a wide variety of musical genres sure to satisfy every musical palate. PorchFest-goers can stroll and listen to rock, classical, Americana, hip-hop, bluegrass, jazz, bell choirs, brass ensembles, alt. country and indie rock, zydeco, ukuleles, NuSoul and much more. The event takes place on Saturday, September 15th from Noon to 5 p.m. is free and open to the public.

The music streets, Windermere Ave., St Davids Rd., and the 400 block of Midland Ave, will be closed to motor vehicle traffic so that PorchFest-goers can walk from house to house along South Wayne's 6/10ths of a mile of music. Public parking is nearby and accessible.

South Wayne PorchFest recommends you bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on the PorchFest lawns and maybe a wagon for the wee ones as PorchFest is a family-friendly event. As this is PorchFest's second year, they are keeping it simple. The public is encouraged to bring a picnic or patronize the terrific places to eat in Wayne. Various local school organizations will set up stands along the festival route for PorchFest-goers to pick up a snack.
