St. Augustine Catholic Priest Dies At 77
Father Maximo J. Ortiz passed away at St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery.
Fr. Maximo J. Ortiz, O.S.A., died on Oct. 12 at St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery.
He is the son of the late Maximo Ortiz and Sylvia Ramierz-Cartaya Ortiz de la Fuente.

Besides his Augustinian brothers, he is survived by three sisters, eleven nieces and nephews and their children.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in the Church of St. Thomas of Villanova (Campus Church) on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at 9 a.m. Clergy, religious, relatives and friends may call on Friday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Monastery Chapel. There will be no wake on Saturday morning. Interment will take place in Mexico City.
