St Davids Business Hosting Kids 3D Printing, Robotics Contest

Now through Sept. 16, area students can win 3D printing and robotics kits valued at more than $900 and new gear for their school.

ST. DAVIDS, PA – A St. Davids business has launched its 3D printing and robotics contest to area kids that will encourage ingenious ways for students to use the technologies.

Micro Center Saint Davids announced that students 13 years old and up can now enter the 2018 Micro Center Maker Student Contest.

The contest, which runs through Sept. 16, will continue Micro Center’s support for schools’ STEM-related activities by providing the winning student’s school with a 3D printer and two robotics construction kits.

Students age 13 and up can tweet or post a response to the question "what would you make with a 3D Printer or control with a VexRobotics Motorized Robotics Arm Kit?"

The student whose tweet or post is judged to be the winner will receive a PowerSpec Ultra 2.0 Dual Extruder 3D Printer (SKU 736710) valued at $899.99 and a Vex Robotics Motorized Arm Kit (SKU 332593) valued at $59.99.

Additionally, Micro Center will give the winning student’s school a PowerSpec Ultra 2.0 3D Printer and two Vex Robotics First Vex IQ Robotics Construction Kits (SKU 669838) valued at $299.99 each.
