State Police Hosting Camp Cadet In Wayne In July

Cadets will be familiarized with the functions of law enforcement, learn self-discipline, make new friends, and work as part of a team.

WAYNE, PA — The Pennsylvania State Police will be hosting the Troop K Camp Cadet Program this summer at the Valley Forge Military Academy and College in Wayne this summer.

Camp will be take place from Sunday, July 26 through Friday, July 31.

The program is for kids 11 to 14 years old.

Register for the camp online here. The registration deadline is May 18.

About 80 children/cadets from Montgomery, Delaware and Philadelphia Counties will attend Camp Cadet.

Over the six-day residential camp, cadets will be familiarized with the functions of law enforcement, learn self-discipline, make new friends, and work as part of a team.

The program is not a recreational camp, nor is it a disciplinary camp for problem youth.

Meals, lodging, and programs are provided at no cost to the applicant except for a $45 fee paid by the cadet to help defray the cost of uniforms.

Camp staff are volunteer state and municipal police officers who act as counselors, instructors and presenters during the program.
