Wayne Art Center’s Spring Off the Wall 2021: Welcome Back fundraiser will be held on May 2, 2021 from 2- 5pm in the Davenport Gallery at Wayne Art Center located at 413 Maplewood Avenue in Wayne, PA. This event is free to attend and open to the public. Our Spring Off the Wall event is an important opportunity to support the center while giving buyers access to work from regional artists all at low prices. All works have been donated and 100% of proceeds will go to exhibitions and educational programing at WAC. We believe this event to be a perfect "Welcome Back!” gathering in the Davenport Gallery. Past Spring Off the Wall events have been very popular for both Wayne Art Center and for the buyers that come to purchase original artwork at great prices.
This spring over 200 original, small works of art have been donated by local artists, members, faculty and other artists who have been featured in juried exhibitions at WAC over the years. Artwork includes paintings, drawings, pastels, ceramics, jewelry and book arts. The work will be displayed in the Davenport Gallery for one afternoon only. Guests will collect a ticket upon arrival that will allow them to enter the gallery with a small group of others. Attendees will be permitted to browse for 8 minutes. During that time they may choose one painting, sculpture, ceramic work or item of jewelry "off the wall” and proceed to a cashier. All work is unframed and priced at $150. Artist signatures will be located on the back of each piece. Buyers will discover the identity of the artist once they have made their selection. Artist contact information can be requested for buyers wishing to have the work signed on the front later.
