Wawa Closing Self-Serve Areas, Will Clean All Stores Nightly
Customers will not be able to pour their own coffee or use other self-serve areas in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
WAWA, PA — Wawa is making changes to its hours and to its self-serving areas during the outbreak of the new coronavirus, known as COVID-19.
Effective 5 a.m. Friday, Wawa customers will not be able to serve themselves coffee. Wawa employees will serve customers their coffee.
Additionally, all self-service fountain beverages, Icee drinks, cappuccino, and iced coffee areas are closed to customers.

As for bakery products, Wawa will bag each item individually for customers.
Wawa will close all stores from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. for deep cleaning, as well. Focus will be on all touch points and surfaces.

Crews will also be stocking shelves from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m.
"Wawa remains committed to delivering our purpose of fulfilling lives every day and will continue to monitor the way we operate and make adjustments as needed," the company said in the announcement.
