1,200 Pounds of Copper Wire Stolen from Construction Site, Police Say
Also in police reports, a building superintendent is charged with theft.

Criminal Trespassing... On Feb. 27, at 10:21 a.m., police responded to a report of a theft on Golf Club Lane in Paoli. The victim, having returned from vacation, noticed a gold ring was missing, and other jewelry items had gone missing, as well. Through an investigation, detectives subsequently charged the building’s superintendent, a 72-year-old Paoli resident, with criminal trespass and related offenses. Â
Theft... On April 24, at 10:10 a.m., police responded to a report that copper wire had been stolen from the 500 block of East Swedesford Road in Wayne. The foreman of the construction site stated that over 1,200 pounds of wire were stolen from the site. The total value of the wire is unknown at this time. The case is under investigation.

Possession... On April 25, at 12:35 a.m., police were dispatched to a retail theft report on Lancaster Avenue in Paoli. After searching the area, officers contacted a person fitting the description of the thief. Officers spoke with the man and concluded he was under the influence of a controlled substance and was questioned further. The 51-year-old Strasburg resident was charged with possession of suspected heroin and related paraphernalia.
