6 New Main Line Restaurants To Look Forward To This Fall

The Main Line's food scene is seemingly ever expanding. Check out these new restaurants opening later this year.

MAIN LINE, PA — The Main Line's food scene is continually growing, and a few new spots are coming to the area later this year.

Six new eateries are expected to open all along the Main Line by the year's close.

Villanova and Greg Dodge of Zavino Hospitality Group (ZHG) have teamed up for a restaurant and grill — dubbed "The Refectory" — that will open this September on the university's Main Line campus.

Nudy's — Berwyn

Another location of the popular café Nudy's is coming to Berwyn later this year. The new outpost, at 120 W. Swedesford Road in Berwyn, will be Nudy's 10th location.

Zagafen — Bala Cynwyd

Kosher pizzeria Zagafen will open in the old Dairy Cafe location in September. Owner David Magerman and Zavino's Greg Dodge are behind the new eatery.

Spread Bagelry — Bryn Mawr

The popular Montreal bagel chain is planning to open a Main Line location on Lancaster Avenue Oct. 1, the Inquirer reports. The Bryn Mawr location will add to the three existing outposts in Philadelphia. Two other new locations are planning to open soon, as well.

Stove and Tap — Frazer

Lansdale hot spot Stove and Tap is expanding to the (western) Main Line with a new location in Frazer. It's owners — also the owners Ardmore's The Bercy in Ardmore and Exton's Al Pastor — are planning to open in the old Carrabba’s Italian Grill location by the end of summer.

Rosalie — Wayne

Paramour at the Wayne Hotel is no more and Rosalie is taking its place. According to Executive Chef Merick Devine, Rosalie will be "Italian cuisine, deeply rooted in tradition, heritage and technique, adapted to the local landscape with a gentle-contemporary approach." Rosalie is expected to open in the fall.
