Attic Fire Fought in Berwyn

The flames were controlled within minutes at Coldstream Drive and Contention Lane, a fire chief said.

No one was injured after a small attic fire broke out in a Berwyn home Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Berwyn Fire Co. Chief Matt Norris said no one was injured and damage was fairly minor at 412 Coldstream Drive, a home at the intersection with Contention Lane, near the Swedesford Plaza shopping center.

Berwyn, Paoli, Malvern and Valley Forge fire companies responded, along with Tredyffrin police and Malvern Ambulance. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Norris said.
