Berwyn Burglar Caught in the Act, Police Say
A Phoenixville man is in Chester County Prison after failing to post $25,000 bail.

A 31-year-old Phoenixville man is behind bars after police say he was caught in the act of burglarizing a Berwyn home.
At 12:58 a.m. Sunday, relatives of the owner of a house on the 600 block of Bair Road arrived there to find Jonathan Makela inside, according to Tredyffrin Police.
Makela was charged with burglary, criminal trespassing and related offenses, and arraigned before District Judge Thomas Tartaglio.

Makela was remanded to Chester County Prison after failing to post $25,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Wednesday.
