Berwyn Company Launches Veteran-Honoring Initiative

By contributing to the Baugher Initiative, you can get a personalized dog tag with the name of one fallen post-9/11 hero.

BERWYN, PA — A Berwyn-based junk removal and hauling company has kicked off its first national awareness campaign to honor the fallen servicemen and women.

The JDog Foundation, the charitable arm of Berwyn's JDog Junk Removal & Hauling, launched the campaign with the Baugher Initiative, which was inspired by Marine Corps Veteran and JDog franchise owner Rob Baugher.

The initiative was created to honor the fallen servicemen and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice while defending the United States, and ensure their service continues posthumously.

With a contribution of $50 or more to the JDog Foundation, a personalized dog tag with the name of one fallen post-9/11 hero, starting with the men who served alongside Baugher, will be sent to the donor, and a duplicate will be added to a memorial at JDog Brands headquarters in Berwyn.

The dog tag comes with a handwritten note from Ralph Galati, U.S. Air Force Veteran and executive director of the JDog Foundation, and information on the fallen soldier, including rank, branch of service, and date of death.

"Rob’s story and passion resonated with the JDog Foundation and we’re honored to help fulfill his vision of paying tribute to the men he fought with overseas," Galati said. "The JDog Foundation, and all of JDog Brands, is focused on supporting our nation’s Veterans and military families. With the Baugher Initiative, we get to do this in a very meaningful way. We will honor the fallen Veterans’ selflessness and dedication, and inspire our communities to carry on their strength, character, and stories."

The Baugher Initiative will allow the JDog Foundation to give back to several Veteran-oriented charitable organizations, such as Operation Homefront, Homes for Our Troops, and the Pat Tillman Foundation.

Outside of nominal dog tag production costs, all proceeds will be donated to these organizations. As the JDog Foundation grows, it will support even more Veterans and Veteran programs across the country.
