Berwyn Fire Co Handles 11 Calls In 14 Hours Sunday

BERWYN, PA — The Berwyn Fire Company responded to 11 calls in just 14 hours over the weekend, heading to crash scenes, fires, gas leaks, and more in Tredyffrin and Easttown townships.

On Sunday, crews handled 11 calls in 14 hours, according to the fire company.

The busy day started at 8:12 with a gas leak on Knox Avenue in Easttown and ended with a life support call in Radnor at 9:58 p.m.

Responders handled three motor vehicle collisions occurred between Route 202, the 1200 block of Lancaster Avenue, and at the intersection of Conestoga Road and Cassatt Avenue in Tredyffrin. Four people were taken to Paoli Hospital under basic life support care, one patient with advanced life support care, and four were evaluated on scene but did not require transport to the hospital.

Other incidents that occurred Sunday included extinguishing a brush fire on Spoonwood Circle off of Contention Lane in Tredyffrin, assisting the Phoenixville Fire Department with a house fire as fire/EMS crews were in the midst of dealing with the Conestoga Road and Cassatt Avenue crash, and EMS calls at the Gateway Shopping Center and in Chesterbrook, among other incident.
