Firefighters from Berwyn and Radnor battled a house fire Saturday morning just blocks from the Berwyn fire house.
Berwyn Fire Company Assistant Chief Eamon Brazunas tells Patch the call came in at 10:11 a.m. for a fire in the unit block of Walnut Ave in the Village of Berwyn. The fire was in a second floor bedroom and was quickly brought under control.
One person was taken to Paoli Hospital for smoke inhalation. No firefighter injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Chester County Fire Marshal, which is standard procedure.
