Best Auto Repair Shops In Tredyffrin And Easttown: Analysis

TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN, PA — Finding a good mechanic can save you money and time.

A new analysis by the nonprofit Delaware Valley Consumers' Checkbook looks at more than 380 auto repair shops in the region, including eight in Tredyffrin and Easttown townships, to determine which offer the best service based on price and quality.

The following Wayne, Devon, and Berwyn shops were included in the analysis:

Wayne

• Jim's Berwyn Auto Repair (316 E. Conestoga Road)
• AAA Club Alliance Wayne Car Care (849 Lancaster Ave.)

Devon

• Devon Liberty (141 Lancaster Ave.)
• Euro Motorcar Devon (214 W. Lancaster Ave.)

Berwyn

• C & J Automotive (1001 Lancaster Ave.)
• Jim's Berwyn Sunoco (507 Lancaster Ave.)
• Keystone Motors (497 E Lancaster Ave.)
• Tires Plus (742 Lancaster Ave.)

Checkbook's evaluations of hundreds of shops in the Delaware Valley area include its ratings for quality and price. Its ratings are based on more than 8,500 reviews by local consumers, consumer agency complaint records, more than 1,500 price checks by its undercover shoppers, and other sources.

According to the researchers at Checkbook, Jim's in Wayne had the overall highest rating, with top ratings in price and quality. Jim's in Berwyn got top ratings in service, but the prices were slightly higher than average.

Over at Devon Liberty, locals chimed in to provide feedback for the study, with a customer simply saying "Outstanding" in their review, according to the study.
