Big News About Major Crime in Tredyffrin
New statistics follow another major report last month.

Major crime incidents are at the lowest levels in a decade in Tredyffrin Township, according to a report made public on Monday at the Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors Meeting.
Following the meeting outgoing Board Chair Michell Kichline issued the following statement summarizing the report:
"The Tredyffrin Township Board of Supervisors is pleased to announce that 2013 has the lowest rate of Part I crimes since 2003. Part I crimes include, in part, rape, robbery, assault, theft, and vehicle theft. The total number of these crimes reported in in 2013 to date in the Township is 253, which is down from a total of 301 and 315 in 2011 and 2012 respectively.

We would like to thank our police force for its work in keeping our citizens safe. In addition, the Board would like to thank Superintendent Anthony Giaimo for his leadership over the past two years. Superintendent Giaimo has modernized, and created greater efficiencies in, an already exemplary Department."
Last month a private home security company released a report stating that Tredyffrin is the 29th safest town in Pennsylvania based on crime statistics.
