Blotter: Tredyffrin Police Arrest Man For Marijuana Manufacturing
Other recent area crimes include stolen blank checks, timeshare and auto selling fraud

Tredyffrin Police, on September 10, arrested a 37-year-old West Chester man for manufacturing of marijuana. The man was caught after police were called to help with an eviction at Old Eagle Road in Wayne and “officers observed equipment commonly used for an indoor marijuana growing operation.”
The man, identified as Kevin O’Connell, was charged with Manufacturing, Delivering and Possession of a Controlled Substance and Paraphernalia.

THEFT 9/15/15 at 0921 hours – 400 block of Strafford Avenue. The victim reported a box of blank checks stolen after it was discovered that a check for $700.00 was fraudulently cashed from the account. The case is under investigation.
FRAUD 9/15/15 at 1553 hours – Richards Road in Wayne. The victim reported that the “buyer” agreed to pay for a timeshare and sent the victim a cashier’s check as payment. The victim was instructed to cash it, keep $500 for deposit and send remainder to the actor’s “broker”. The transaction was determined to be a scam in which the victim lost the money.

FRAUD 9/17/15 at 1908 hours – Old Forge Crossing in Devon. The victim received a phone call from an unknown actor in Jamaica who stated that they won a large sum of money and was instructed to send monies via Western Union to secure the winnings. The victim wired over $1,200 to the unknown actor. The case is under investigation.
FRAUD 9/21/15 at 1549 hours – 600 block of Hollow Road in Wayne. The victim reported they were selling a vehicle on Autotrader.com. The potential “buyer” had sent a check for payment, but was made out for more than the selling price. The victim was instructed to send the extra to another location for the vehicle’s inspection, and wired the money via Walmart Moneygram.
