It’s a celebration of National Pet Week (May 4 – 10) and all local pets at the Devon Veterinary Hospital on Saturday, May 10 at noon – 3:00 p.m. at 81 Lancaster Avenue in Devon. What makes this event so special is you are encouraged to bring all of your pets, children, and friends. This is a special day dedicated to celebrate all pets.
The event will feature four local pet rescue organizations - Delaware Valley Golden Retriever Rescue, Chester County SPCA, Francisvale Home for Smaller Animals, and LaMancha Animal Rescue - that will offer pets for adoption.
In addition, HomeAgain microchips will be available for your pet for only $15 (a $65 value). The HomeAgain microchip is a lost pet’s best chance of finding his way home. The microchips will be administered in a sterile environment by one of the three doctors of veterinary medicine that practice at Devon Veterinary Hospital.

 “I would like to invite everyone in the community to join us on May 10 for our first annual Springfest to celebrate National Pet Week. Since we’ve been serving the Main Line community for 26 years, we want to celebrate National Pet Week every year. Devon Veterinary Hospital is a fun, relaxing and very special place and we want to open our doors to everyone in the area for the celebration, especially pets,“ said Devon Veterinary Hospital practice owner Carol Caracand, VMD.
The free event will include fun for everyone from free hot dogs, hot pretzels, popcorn, and beverages to free face painting for children, free animal-shaped balloons. The Berwyn Fire Company fire truck will be on hand for tours and you can meet Leo and Arson Dog and learn how he helps prevent fires and solve crimes. There will even be games for the pets including Dunking for Dogs (hot dogs, that is). No reservations are needed.

Come and meet the compassionate Devon Veterinary Hospital doctors and caring staff and take a tour of the 6,000 square foot facility that includes state-of-the-art operating rooms, treatment rooms, pet boarding, and other services. The event will include demonstrations and interactive educational sessions about how to ensure your pet’s dental health, how to prevent fleas and ticks, and why animal acupuncture might be just what your pet needs to feel better. This accreditation, awarded by the American Animal Hospital Association, ensures that the highest standards of excellence in veterinary medicine are met.
