Burning Down the House
Berwyn Fire Company demonstrates the real power and speed of house and car fires while showing members of the public how first responders fight fires and save lives.
Berwyn Fire Company volunteers set model houses and junk cars ablaze Saturday afternoon to demonstrate the power and speed of fire and to show local families what to do in case of a fire emergency.
The Fire Company's annual open house featured two custom-built "houses" which demonstrated just how fast fire can spread and how important it is to be prepared and know what to do in case of fire.
First responders also demonstrated how they respond to traffic accidents and car fired not only on local streets but on major area highways, including the PA Turnpike.
